Aculei’s treatments are personalized to your individual needs and may include a combination of acupuncture, bodywork, fire cupping, and Chinese herbal medicine.

Acupuncture
Acupuncture uses fine, sterile needles to stimulate specific points on the body and support its natural ability to restore balance and promote healing.

Bodywork
In our Holistic Acupuncture service, bodywork incorporates either Eastern or Western approaches, such as Shiatsu or Swedish massage, depending on your condition and treatment goals. Techniques are selected based on what your body needs and are combined with acupuncture for a more comprehensive treatment.

Fire Cupping
Fire cupping uses firm or gentle suction created by heat to lift the skin and underlying tissues. It may help promote circulation, ease muscle tension, and relieve areas of tightness and discomfort.

If you are interested in cupping, please select Cupping as an add-on when booking. Cupping will then be incorporated into your treatment.

Customized Chinese Herbal Formulas
When appropriate, customized Chinese herbal formulas may be recommended based on your symptoms, constitution, and individual health goals. Herbal medicine can be used alongside acupuncture to provide additional support between treatments.

For example, herbal medicine may be considered for persistent concerns such as stubborn insomnia, ongoing digestive issues (such as GERD or IBS), or women's health concerns such as menstrual irregularities.

While acupuncture can provide support for symptom relief, Chinese herbal medicine may offer a more continuous approach by supporting your body from within between treatments.

Your treatment may include one or a combination of these services, depending on the services you select. Please feel free to discuss your concerns and goals during your visit, and we will create an approach tailored to you.

Acupuncture needles are very thin, and most people feel little to no pain when they are inserted. You may feel a small pinch as the needle goes in, but the sensation is usually very brief.

During treatment, you may also feel a dull ache, heaviness, warmth, tingling, or a spreading sensation around the acupuncture point. This is called “De Qi (得氣),” a traditional acupuncture term used to describe the sensation that can occur when the needle reaches the desired stimulation.

We always work at your comfort level. If anything feels uncomfortable, just let us know, and we can adjust the treatment.

We do not currently accept health insurance. All services are self-pay at the time of your appointment.

Aculei’s offers a calm, private treatment space that combines the feel of a therapeutic bodywork studio with an Eastern Medicine approach.

Yes! If you’re interested in Chinese herbal medicine, please feel free to ask us about it during your visit.

After a consultation, we can recommend a customized Chinese herbal formula based on your symptoms, constitution, individual health goals, and budget.

We do not keep pre-made formulas in stock. Your herbs are prepared and ordered after your consultation, so please allow approximately 3–5 days for your herbs to arrive.

If you are located within California, we can also have your herbs shipped directly to your home. Shipping is approximately $10, in addition to the cost of the herbs.

At Aculei’s, we use herbs from Evergreen Herb, a trusted source we have chosen for their quality and our long-standing trust in their products.
